August Kestner zeigt den Blick auf eine Baumgruppe und ein Tor - eine Ansicht, die mit dem Garten der Villa Chigi in Arricia identifiziert werden kann. Kestner hat die Familie Rehberg mehrere Male zum Ausflug nach Arricia begleitet. Arricia, in der Nähe Roms gelegen, war seit dem 18. Jahrhundert ein bei Künstlern und Reisenden beliebter Ort. (AVS)
