Description

This prepared crocodile travelled in a three-metre long box from Cuba to Berlin via Moscow and finally to the home of the Lamberz family in Wandlitz. It is a personal gift from Cuban president Fidel Castro (1927-2016) to Werner Lamberz (1929-1978). Werner Lamberz (1929-1978), member of the Politburo of the CC of the SED in East Germany, was personal advisor to Fidel Castro during his state visit to East Germany in 1970. After that, Lamberz made several friendly visits to the Caribbean island.
