Am 30. April 1976 weilte der Schöpfer des Ehrenmals auf den Seelower Höhen in der Gedenkstätte. Lew Kerbel schuf 1945 im Auftrage von Marschall Shukow entlang der ehemaligen Reichsstraße 1 die Denkmale in Küstrin, Seelow und Berlin-Tiergarten.
Im Archiv befinden sich mehrere Bilder, Zeitungsausschnitte und ein ausführliches Gesprächsprotokoll.
