Description

Traditionsabzeichen für das Infanterie-Regiment 98, Standort Metz.
Aus Eisenblech und Drähten hergestellt.
Auf dem Abzeichen oben die deutsche Kaiserkrone, farbig unterlegt. Darunter, ein hochformatiges Schild, geld unterlegt, mit einer roten "98". Daran befestigt zwei Rahmen in Fahnenform.
Im linken ist das Brustbild des Generalstabschefs Helmut von Moltke? abgebildet, das rechte ist leer.
Darunter gekreuzte Kanonenrohre und ein kleines Schild mit schwarzer Schrift: " Raus aus" Darunter ein größeres Schild " * Metz*.
Die Verwendung des Schildes ist unbekannt.
Auf der Rückseite zwei Splinte.
