Postumus war ein Usurpator, der sich zur Zeit des Soldatenkaisers Gallienus zum Augustus ausrufen ließ und das Gallische Sonderreich gründete, das er von 260-269 n. Chr. regierte. Er machte Köln zur Hauptstadt seines Reichs.
