Maximinus Daja war ab 305 Mitkaiser (Cäsar) in der zweiten Tetrarchie. Er herrschte über Syrien und Ägypten. In der fünften Tetrarchie stieg er 311 nach dem Tod des Kaisers Galerius zum Augustus auf, der in Asien regierte. Er starb 313 unter ungeklärten Umständen.
