Description

Diese Ausführung der Kriegsflagge des Deutschen Kaiserreiches wurde seit 1903 verwendet. Sie ist durch ein schwarzes Kreuz in vier gleiche Teile aufgeteilt. Links oben steht auf den Farben schwarz-weiß-rot ein Eisernes Kreuz. Mittig in einem Oval zeigt die Fahne den preußischen Adler mit Zepter und Reichsapfel sowie den Initialen FR auf der Brust, die für die preußischen Könige namens Friedrich stehen.
Antidemokratische Kräfte führten die Fahne in der Weimarer Republik als Zeichen ihrer rechten Gesinnung.
