Description

Die Grundfigur eines endlosen Flechtbands wird hier in Gestalt von Ranken der Distel ausgeführt. Die gezackten, stacheligen Ränder der Distelblätter grenzen oben und unten jeweils eine schmale Zone von einer größeren mittleren Zone ab. Diese Bereiche sind in unterschiedlichen Farben gehalten. Bildmittelpunkt der einzelnen Fliesen ist eine geöffnete Distelblüte in Seitenansicht.
Herkunft wahrscheinlich französisch.
