Das Bild entstand anlässlich des Besuchs der Gattin des damaligen Bundespräsidenten Heinrich Lübke, Wilhelmine Lübke, in Kaiserslautern. Neben Frau Lübke sitzt Dr. Walter Sommer, zu dieser Zeit Oberbürgermeister Kaiserslauterns, und hinter ihr steht Heidi Lind, Mitbegründerin des Deutsch-Amerikanischen Frauenclubs.
