Dargestellt ist ein Mann in einer weiten, schwarzen Robe. Er hält beide Hände vor dem Körper und in der rechten hat er ein Buch. Der Mann trägt einen dichten Vollbart und hat mittellanges, gewelltes Haar. Mittig unter ihm ist ein Wappen abgebildet. Das Porträt wird von einem beschrifteten Oval eingerahmt (s.o.). Darunter ist ein lateinischer Schriftzug zu sehen.
