Description

Gefunden wurde diese Statuette im Bad der römischen Villa von Pölich. Trotz der ungewöhnlichen Darstellung ist sie durch das Füllhorn eindeutig als Fortuna, die Göttin des Schicksals, gekennzeichnet. Ebenso war sie für das persönliche Glück, Gesundheit und Wohlstand des Einzelnen zuständig. Ihre Attribute sind ein Steuerruder und das unerschöpfliche Füllhorn, aus dem sie ihre Gaben verteillt.
Als "Fortuna der Bäder" (Fortuna balnearis) soll sie auch Heilkräfte besessen haben.
