Schwarzweißfotografie.
Das Bild zeigt die Einweihung des Krieger Denkmals für die Gefallenen des Ersten Weltkriegs in Bendorf im Oktober 1930.
Im Hintergrund zu sehen sind die Wohnhäuser der ehemaligen Dr. Erlenmeyer'sche Heil- und Pflegeanstalt für Nervenkranke. Die Gebäude wurden beider Bombardierung am 31.12.1944 zerstört. Das Denkmal wird im Volksmund "Pferdchen" genannt.
