Die Monarch Noiseless wurde auch unter dem Namen "Remington Noiseless" oder "Smith Premier Noiseless" verkauft. Sie war größer und robuster als ihr Vorgängermodell, die "Remington Noiseless Portable No. 7". Als preiswerte Alternative zu größeren Büroschreibmaschinen beworben, war sie mit einem Preis von ursprünglich 105 $ dennoch recht teuer.
