Rear: Minerva steht in der Vorderansicht, den Kopf nach l. gewandt. Sie hält in ihrer r. Hand eine sie bekränzende Victoria und im l. Arm ein Zepter. Zu ihren Füßen r. ein Rundschild.
Pierced: Intentional hole(s) pierced through a coin so that it can be worn on a neclace, sewn onto textiles, etc. In case of paper money such a perforation often indicates devaluation.
Gilded: With an overlay (wholly or in parts) of a thin layer of gold. Process is not part of the regular production.
Chop mark: A mark of undefined form made normally with a chisel-like tool, for example to test the purity of the core of a coin. It can also be the result of damage caused when the object was found.
