Description

Die Quarkpresse wurde in den bäuerlichen Haushalten des Spreewaldes im 19. Jahrhundert verwendet. Man ließ die Milch abkühlen und stehen bis sich die Molke absetzte. Danach wurde der so genannte Topfen in einen Sack gefüllt und nochmals ausgepresst. Das geschah mit Hilfe der Quarkpresse, bei der man stufenweise den Druck erhöhen konnte.
