Schminkgefäße dieser Art schon aus der Bronzezeit bekannt. Immer oben Stöpsel und nie in Funktion gesehen. Da der Handel mit Indien/Pakistan in großen Maße erst 1971 einsetzte, diese Gefäße aber schon 1958 in großen Mengen zu finden waren, ist anzunehmen, daß sie in Afghanistan hergestellt worden sind; allerdings nur aus dem Osten bekannt.-

Die Analyse des Inhalts von IB 12737 und IB 12741 ergab Bleiglanz, ein in pulverisierter Form vielfach als Augenschminke verwendbarer Stoff
