Schmuckplatte
Runde, tellerartige Platte, in der Mitte vertieft mit ausgestanzten arabischen Schriftzeichen. Nach den eigenen Angaben des Meisters Seyfeddin Mensimoglu soll es sich dabei um die spiegelbildliche Wiedergabe des Namens von Sultan Mehmed handeln, einem aserbaidschanischen Miniaturmaler, der im 16. Jh. gelebt hat. Den Rand der Platte schmücken 12 punktförmig eingravierte Szenen, u.a. wird die Himmelfahrt des Propheten Mohammed dargestellt. Der Meister Seyfeddin Mensimoglu arbeitet in der Handschriftenabteilung in Baku (vgl. Text zum Videofilm).
