Description

Scaphites geinitzii (d`Orbigny) ist ein typischer Ammonit der Kreide (Subprionuscyclus neptuni-Zone, Ober-Turon) mit Tendenz zur Entrollung. Durch diese Entwicklung entstanden zahlreiche heteromorphe Ammoniten mit den für Ammoniten unüblichen Formen.

Fundort: Stbr. Foerth / Halle (Westf.)
