Abgebildet ist die Fassadenseite des Hauses zur Straße, mit Untergeschoss und zwei oberen Stockwerken sowie doppelter Mansardenreihe im Dach. Auf der Straße Passanten, rechts und links ein Baum.
Winckelmann wohnte 1755 bis zu seiner Abreise nach Rom bei Oeser in Dresden.
