Description

Die Maske ist mit schwarzer Farbe, der Mund sowie die Augenhöhlen rot bemalt. Durch gepolsterte, aufgesetzte Lederstücke werden die Wangen betont; helle und dunkle Fellarten sowie vier Ziegenhörner vermitteln das Animalisch-Dämonische dieser Hauptfigur der Fastnachtsbräuche im Lötschental. Von Maria Lichtmess (2. Februar) bis Aschermittwoch stürmen die als Tschäggätä verkleideten jungen Mänenr durch die Dörfer.
