Description

"Daniel dans la fosse aux lions" (Daniel in der Löwengrube) - in einer weiteren Sprache. Blatt Nr. 6 einer Serie.
Querformat. Das Bild zeigt in Rechteck mit doppeltem Strichrand Daniel mit Nimbus in einer Grube knieend. Seine Hände hält er zum Gebet erhoben. Um ihn herum liegen oder laufen sieben Löwen. Auf dem Boden liegen Knochen und ein Totenkopf. Hinter Daniel schwebt ein Engel mit ausgebreiteten Flügeln, der von Strahlen umgeben ist. Oberhalb der Grube, am Rand sind ein König (Darius?) und Gefolge erkennbar.
