Description

Hochformat. Auf der oberen gelben Himmelshälfte sitzender Schmerzensmann mit Dornenkrone, Rohrkolben und Mantel. Im Vordergrund stehen sich zwei ähnlich gekleidete (romantisch-antike Tracht) mit Salbgefäß und Palme einander gegenüber. Am Horizont Berge. Zwischen den Beinen der beiden Heiligen Tafel mit der Aufschrift: "Verlobt 1750", darüber eine Hand.
Nach Joseph Braun, Tracht und Attribute der Heiligen in der deutschen Kunst, Stuttgart 1943, S. 439: muss es sich um die Zwillingsbrüder und Aerzte Kosmas und Damian handeln.
