Druck in Farbe: kolorierter Holzschnitt, später Abzug.
Querformat. Im Mittelpunkt des Bildes deutet Napoleon Bonaparte auf einen, offenbar an der Pest erkrankten, Soldaten seiner Armee, der von einem Einheimischen gestützt wird. Weitere Militärs begleiten ihn. Links im Vordergrund ein Mensch in osmanischer Tracht, in der Bildunterschrift als "Muselmann" ("musulman") bezeichnet. Im Hintergrund eine ägyptische Stadtsilhouette.
Bildunterschrift datiert das Dargestellte auf den 10. März 1799 ("10 mars 1799")
