Description

Die Form der Spitzamphora erinnert an Inv. 3589, besticht jedoch durch einen großen Gefäßhals und kleine, nahezu verkümmerte Henkel. Überziehen horizontale Drehrillen bei Inv. 3589 fast den gesamten Gefäßkörper, so zieren sie bei Inv. 3538 nur den Hals und die Amphorenspitze. Schultern und restlichen Körper schmücken stattdessen horizontal verlaufende Farbbänder sowie ein Halbkreisbogen mit Rautengeflecht und zwei Vertikalstreifen mit Flechtband und gestielten Tupfen, ähnlich Inv. 3497 und 3499.
