Idealbildnis eines antiken Kaisers

Dieses Profil ist von einer antiken Münze abgeleitet, die den ersten Kaiser des römischen Reichs, Augustus (63 v. Chr. -14 n. Chr.), darstellt. Blattgold wurde zur Dekoration der Krone, des Haarbandes und der Toga verwendet, eines charakteristischen Gewandes im antiken Rom, dass man über die Schultern und den Körper gelegt wurde.

This profile derives from an Antique coin representing the first emperor of the Roman Empire, Augustus (63 BC-14 AD). Gold leaf was used to decorate the crown, the ribbon on the hair and the toga, a distinctive garment of ancient Rome draped over the shoulders and around the body.
