Description

Die Büste wurde traditionell mit Desiderio da Settignano in Verbindung gebracht. Sie soll aus dem Herzogspalast in Urbino stammen, für dessen Innendekoration vermutlich die gleiche Steinart verwendet worden ist. Büsten dieser Art wurden in der Renaissance üblicherweise in Marmor ausgeführt. 1945 wurde die Büste durch Brandeinwirkung beschädigt.
