Die Ahle wurde in der Sattlerei zum Vorstechen von Leder verwendet. Der Griff ist birnförmig und auf beiden Seiten abgeflacht. Ahle und Griff sind durch ein Heft miteinander verbunden. Das Heft ist drehbar, damit kann die Ahle ausgewechselt werden. Vierkantahle mit einer scharfen Spitze.
