FIG. CXXXVI.
The front and hind hair cropped and dressed (without powder) in small
curls. Bonnet en casque of white satin, embroidered in gold, and trimmed
with white and gold lace, and gold fringe; bow of silver gauze behind:
petticoat of lawn with a rich embroidered border. Roman robe of plain
muslin; short sleeves; the whole bordered with a rich embroidery. Small
muslin handkerchief within. Long pearl ear-rings. Gold chain round
the neck. White gloves and shoes.

The front hair dressed in bushy curls, and very low upon the forehead,
the hind hair within a red and white net; white bugle bandeau across the
front; plumes de coq placed on the left side, with a diamond pin, put
in the middle of a rosette of white satin riband. Petticoat of Italian gauze.
Robe of red and purple peeling satin; short sleeves of white satin, cover-
ed with a red silk net. Necklace of small pearls. White globe earr-rings.
White gloves and shoes. White satin muff, lined with down.
