Description

Pyrit-Anreicherung auf Schichtflächen des Steinmergelkeupers. Die idiomorphen Kristalle (hauptsächlich Pentagondodekaeder) sind gut erhalten und zeigen ihre typisch messinggelb glänzende Farbe. Nur ein Teil der Pyrit-Kristalle zeigen eine braune Oxidhaut, die bei fortschreitender Verwitterung am Schluß auch zu vollständigen Pseudomorphosen von Eisen-Oxidhydroxiden nach Pyrit führen kann.
