Description

Das handgewebte Mustertuch besteht aus Leinen. Die gesamte Stickerei (farbiger Seiden- und Baumwollgarn) wurde in Kreuzstichtechnik ausgeführt. Zentrales Motiv ist das Hauptgebäude der Franckeschen Stiftungen zu Halle. Darum ist eine Vielzahl an christlichen Symbolen und biblischen Bildszenen angeordnet. Im unteren Drittel folgen alphabetische Buchstabenbänder in lateinischen Groß- und Kleinbuchstaben sowie verschiedene florale Musterbänder.
