Description

Der kolorierte Kupferstich zeigt die Stadt Merseburg von Osten während der Einnahme durch das Ottoische Jäger Corps der Österreichischen Truppen am 11. März 1762. Die Legende ist in Form einer Schriftrolle in der oberen Bildmitte ausgeführt. Bei dem Gefecht des Siebenjährigen Krieges wurde die Preußische Besatzung aus Merseburg vertrieben und die Stadt im Anschluss daran geplündert.
