Description

Bergkristall wird die farblos-klare Varietät von Quarz (SiO2) genannt. Diese Kristalle entsprechen innen zwar dieser Definition, zeigen aber einen rötlichbraunen Rand, der durch Einlagerung von Eisenoxiden am Ende ihres Wachstums zu erklären ist.
