Description

Metamorphe Gesteine mit einer Lagigkeit im Zentimeter-Bereich werden als Schiefer bezeichnet. Als zweites Element bestimmt das dominante Mineral den Namen, hier Schichtsilikate der Chlorit-Gruppe ((Mg, Fe2+)5Al(AlSi3O10)(OH)8). Außer ihm prägen die schwarzen Oktaeder des Spinells Magnetit (Fe3O4) dieses Gestein.
