Description

Hermann Ludwig Ferdinand Helmholtz, ab 1883 von Helmholtz, (*31.08.1821 Potsdam; +08.09.1894 Charlottenburg bei Berlin) war Mediziner, Physiologe und Physiker. Von 1858 bis 1870 war er Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Physiologie an der Universität Heidelberg. Zu dieser Zeit entstand die Portraitaufnahme.
