Description

Das Gemälde (Öl auf Kupfer) zeigt das Brustbild des Bautzener Bürgermeisters Friedrich Gottlob von Hartmann leicht nach rechts im Dreiviertelprofil, wobei der Blickt konzentriert zum Betrachter geht. Der Abgebildete trägt einen schwarzen Rock, eine Weste in Gold und Orange und ein weißes Spitzenjabot. Das graue und sich lichtende Haar ist nach hinten gekämmt. Der Hintergrund ist in einem monochromen dunklen Braunton gefasst. Den unteren Bildabschluss bildet eine Tafel mit Inschrift: "Herr Friedrich Gottlob von Hartmann | wurde geboren am 7. August 1751., Senator am 7. Febr[uar]. 1782. | Stadt-Syndikus am 17. December 1787, nobilitirt am | 6. July 1792. und Consul am 6. May 1802, starb | am 13. April, 1835.".
