Die Sayner-Hütte fertigte zwischen 1820 und 1865 alljährlich als Neujahrsgabe Eisenplaketten nach bedeutenden grafischen Vorlagen rheinischer Kunstdenkmäler. Die Plakette mit Darstellung der Sinziger Kirche St. Peter entstand als Jahresgabe 1835. Sie wurde von H. Zupft nach der Vorlage von Domenico Quaglio (1833) gestaltet.
