The silver earrings and brooch have a large agate insets. It is a basis of the composition. It’s thought the mineral got its name from the Greek word "ἀγαθός" – naïve, kind, good, happy. Agate is sometimes called the "creator's eye" also. Such combination of goodness and divinity is the best reveal the theme of the winter Christmas holidays. Silver filigree with the balls of the grain around enhances the sense of a festive mood.
The author’s jewellery art in Ukraine was oppressed by the totalitarian government of the USSR. Since the beginning of the 1970s the jeweller Vitaly Khomenko has been reviving the author’s jewellery art of Ukraine. The filigree technique was one of the first techniques that the jeweller began to use.
