This is the helmet-shaped lid with incised ornament. The grooves of the ornament are filled with white paste. In the center of the convex top, there is a round concavity, which may symbolize the full Moon. Four incomplete circles are placed around this round concavity. The space between them forms a cross-shaped figure. On the lower cone-shaped part, there are four belts of ribbons, which together form a square. The subordination of ornamental compositions to the number four is not accidental. This number had a sacred meaning in many cultures (for example, in Mesopotamia).Lids covered pear-shaped vessels. The connected vessels formed a single composition of ornamentation and imaged an anthropomorphic (female) figure (the lid symbolized the head).
