Clay disk was accidentally discovered by the local historian V.A. Tovkachevskуi on the dunes of the first floodplain terrace of the left bank of the Dnipro. This is a disk covered with patterns. There is a punctured hole in the middle of it, which has ray-like zigzags and lines “radiating” from it. On one surface, the edge of the disk is bordered by concentric circles of parallel lines and zigzags. The rim of the disc is adorned with parallel lines made by a square stick (a stamp) to create a serrated cover. The applications for this disc are still discussed. Most likely it is an object of cult connected to ceremonial rituals. People of the old ages represented their own view on the structure of the universe in their own ornamental compositions. By that logic eight rays that come from the middle hole could be the cardinal points. A popular interpretation tells us that it was a calendar artifact since ancient farmers carefully watched after seasonal changes to calculate sowing and harvesting times. So, one of the planes of the disc has 28 rays, which can correspond to the days of the lunar calendar. On the outer ornamental circle, the number of zigzags is 35 or 36, which approximately corresponds to the number of decades in a lunar or solar year.
