Mit den politischen Veränderungen änderte sich auch das Warenangebot in den Geschäften der Garnisonsstädte. Doch konnten sich nur Offiziersfamilien mit höherem Einkommen die zum großen Teil aus deutscher Produktion angebotenen Waren leisten.
