Description

Der Militärbeamte Proitos (Rang und Funktion unbekannt) ermahnt die Zahlmeister (ταγματικοὶ ὑπηρέται), neue Rekruten nur in Abstimmung mit dem Hypostrategen Hermias in die Truppen aufzunehmen, wie es Paos, der Stratege der Thebais, befohlen hatte. Proitos hatte erfahren, dass Konon Hermias nicht benachrichtigt hatte.

Προῖτος αι τοῖς ταγματικοῖς ὑπηρέταις χαίρειν. ἐπεὶ προσπέπτωκεν ἡμῖν Κόνωνα πρόσληψίν τινων ποιεῖσθαι εἰς τὸ ταγματικὸν ἄνευ τῆς ἡμετέρας γνώμης παρὰ τὰς γενομένας ὑπὸ Παῶι τοῦ στρατηγοῦ διαστολὰς περὶ τοῦ σὺν Ἑρμίαι τῶι ὑπο στρατήγωι γενόμενον τὸ προκείμενον ἐπιτελεῖνεπιστελειν πρᾶγμα, ὃ καὶ τούτωι διασεσαφήκαμεν διὰ γραμμάτων, καλῶς ποιήσετεποήσετε κατὰ τὸ παρὸν ἐπισχόντες μέχρι τοῦ τὰ παρὰ τοῦ Ἑρμίου πρὸς ταῦτα ἀντιφωνηθῆναι, ὅπως μετὰ τῆς πάσης προσοχῆς οἰκονομηθῆι ἕκαστα, ἀκολούθως ἧι ποιεῖταιποεῖται ὁ στρατηγὸς σπουδῆι.
