Description

Eine Person, die von dem Beamten Demetrios Königsland gepachtet hat, richtet eine Eingabe an den Strategen Soteles. Weil Demetrios ihre Ernte beschlagnahmt hat, kann die klagende Person weder Pacht noch Staatsabgaben bezahlen. Der Stratege fordert daraufhin Demetrios auf, vor ihm zu erscheinen und Bericht darüber zu erstatten.

Σωτέλει συγγενεῖ καὶ στρατηγῶι καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν προσόδων παρὰ ρουμαις μενος ἀπὸ τῆς βασιλικῆς γῆς ὑπὲρ ἧς καὶ κεχορήγηνταί μοι σπερμάτων πυροῦ ἀρτάβαι λ ταύτας μετὰ τῆς ἐσχάτης καὶ κακοπαθίας ης τῶν ἐκ τούτων συναγωγῆς ἐπιβαλὼν τόπων μεεαρς καὶ ἐφʼ ἑαυτοῦ μεταχιρου ἐπὶ τὴν ἅλω. ἐνοχλούμενος δὲ καὶ ὑπὸ τοῦ ἀρχιφυλακίτου ἀπαίτησιν ποιουμένουποιούμενος τῶν δηλουμένων σπερμάτων καὶ τῶν καθηκόντων ἐκφορίων, διὸ προῆγμαι τὴν ἐπὶ σὲ ποιήσασθαι καταφυγήν, ἀξιῶ ἐὰν φαίνηται συντάξαι γράψαι τῶι Δημητρίωι ἀπο λῦσαι τὸ γένημα, ὅπως ἀπαρενοχλήτως παραδῶπαραδῶι εἰς τὸ βασιλικὸν τά τε σπέρ ματα καὶ ἐκφόρια, ἵνα μηθὲν ελ γίνηταιγείνηται τυχὼν τῆς σῆς ἀντιλήψεως.
