Description

Der polierte Gewichtsstein ist mit dem Namen von König Sahure sowie der Gewichtsangabe 10 Deben beschriftet. Der Deben ist ein seit dem Alten Reich belegtes Gewichtsmaß. Sein Wert änderte sich im Laufe der Zeit von rund 13,6 Gramm im Alten Reich bis auf etwa 91 Gramm im Neuen Reich. Mit seinen 134 Gramm entspricht dieses Gewicht beinahe exakt dem Wert von 10 Deben.
