Makedonischer Schild

Description

Der "makedonische" Schild gehörte zur Ausrüstung leicht bewaffneter Fußsoldaten und bestand aus einem Holzkern mit darüberliegendem Bronzeblech; Löcher im Blech stammen von Treffern durch Pfeile oder Lanzen; zwei Löcher auf einer Linie legen nahe, dass der Schild als Kriegsbeute an einen Pfahl genagelt war.
