Description

Das vorliegende Pastell entstand auf Amrum 1936 oder 1938. Bei dem späteren Aufenthalt malte Illies dort gemeinsam mit seinem einstigen Lehrer Ludwig von Hofmann.
Im Vergleich zu dem Pastell gleichen Titels (13127), das vielleicht in der Entstehung dem vorliegenden Bild unmittelbar vorausging, hat Türkis in der Lichtstimmung die Vorherrschaft übernommen. Gewölk und Sand erscheinen nahezu monochrom.
