Es handelt sich um die Gedenkmünze anlässlich der Ankunft der neuen Transportmaschine C-130J Lockhead Martin auf der Air Base Ramstein. Auf der Vorderseite befindet sich das Air Force Wappen und Logo und auf der Rückseite ist die Transportmaschine vor einer US-amerikanischen Flagge abgebildet.

History of Challenge Coins:
Challenge Coins surfaced during the World War II era. The practice of carrying a coin designed specifically for a unit was popular with the Army Special Forces. Carrying the coin at all times and presenting it when ’challenged’ to prove affiliation with that unit resultated in a number of consequneces for those who could not produce a coin - the most popular required the coinless soldier to buy a round of drinks.
