Description

Dieser schwarze Brustharnisch weist am Rand umlaufende, wellenförmig auslaufenden Messingzierbleche auf, welche mit nach oben spitz zulaufenden Nieten versehen sind.
Im Zentrum des Harnischs findet sich als Aufsatzemblem eine Königskrone mit Trophäen und den Initialen "F.W.R." (Fridericus Wilhelmus Rex).
Der Harnisch dürfte somit aus der Zeit des preußischen "Soldatenkönigs" Friedrich Wilhelm I. (1713-1740) stammen.
Der Harnisch weist mehrere Gebrauchsspuren auf: leichte Beulen und eine Eindellung, welche vermutlich auf Kugeleinschlag im mittleren Bereich zurückzuführen ist.
