A spear from palm wood that is studded with small and bigger barb from fishbone, fish teeth or other bone (?) and wood at the tip. Below the spearhead, there are red and yellow cuffs from braided bast, a carved ornament and a spherical knob from compressed plant fibre. The shaft tapers off towards the lower end.
The spear comes from Papua New Guinea, probably from the Buka Island, Solomon Islands, which is known for this type of spears. It presumably belongs to the collection of Albert Daiber; a definite attribution, however, is not possible.
