A bow with a bowstring from twisted plant fibre. The bow is broadly in the middle and tapers towards the ends. On the inner surface, it is formed convexly and outside slightly concavely. The bowstring is fixed to the bow by a knot on one side. On the other side, the bowstring is fixed with a kind of putty because it was probably torn. Below the knot, there are elements from wrapped thin bast that in turn reinforces the bowstring in some places.
The provenance is not cleared. Form, size and material of the bow are indicative for an origin from South America. However, a clear determination could not be made so far.
