Clay jar from Ancient Peru, Moche style, probably Early Intermediate, ca. phase IV.
The jar has a spherical belly, an oblong neck and a handle that is fixed on top of the belly and in the middle of the neck. A light yellow clay serves as grounding, on which red cranes and a stripe are painted.
The Museum of the City of Ulm bought the jar together with four other Peruvian vessels from art dealer Dr. Franz Xaver Weizinger
